Simple Guide To Replacing The Battery Of Geek Vape Devices

What steps are followed to change the battery of a Geek Vape mod? While it may appear technical, it follows a short and simple pattern. Geek Vape mods such as the Aegis series use external batteries, which means the power source is removable. With basic care and attention, battery replacement can be completed without much delay.

Check the battery type first

Geek vape UAE mods mostly support 18650, 20700, or 21700 batteries depending on the model. This detail is printed in the user manual or at the base of the device. The battery size should match exactly with the one recommended. Using the wrong size will not fit properly and may affect usage.

Turn the device off completely

Before any replacement is made, turn the device off. Hold the power button for a few seconds or follow the model’s method of switching off. This step is followed to avoid accidental firing or short circuits while handling the internal battery compartment.

Open the battery cover carefully

On most Geek Vape mods, the battery compartment is located at the base. Some have a screw cap, while others use a latch system. Unscrew or unlatch the battery door gently. Avoid using force, especially if the cap feels tight. A worn or bent latch may result in poor sealing later on.

Take out the old battery

Remove the battery by sliding it out gently. If it feels stuck, tilt the device slightly until it loosens. Avoid using sharp tools to pull the battery, as this may cause damage to the cover or battery wrap. Check the battery wrap for any dents or tears.

Insert the new battery properly

Check the positive (+) and negative (−) ends and match them with the symbols inside the compartment. Insert the battery in the correct direction. Pushing a battery the wrong way may cause malfunction or device lockout. Once placed, close the battery door fully until it clicks or seals.

Charge before using if necessary

Some batteries come pre-charged, while others do not. It is better to use a standalone charger instead of relying only on in-device charging. This keeps the power flow balanced. Charging through the mod is also possible if the cable port is working and compatible.
